My wife and I have been involved with Safe Families for a little over a year. During that time, we’ve seen some parents and host families form long-term relationships. We’ve heard of some host parents become godparents to kids they’ve hosted. Others have become like uncles and aunts. And in other cases, the relationship doesn’t last much longer than the hosting. But we’ve determined that as long as the kids are in our care we’re going to love them as much as we can, for as long as we can.
